On Thursday, February 6, 2020, your CarePartners’ collective agreement was ratified. There are several monetary changes that will take place throughout the collective agreement. SEIU Healthcare is in contact with CarePartners regarding the dates and timelines of when certain changes will occur. We will update you as soon as we are notified.
The wage changes are effective on the date of the ratification and will be reimbursed as retro pay. The travel time will be reimbursed from January 10, 2020 (the date of the imposed CA). We anticipate these increases will be reflective in the first pay period in April 2020. However, if that does not happen, we will communicate this to members and note that all monies that are owed will be retro.
For vacation, one-week vacation requests take president over one-day vacation requests, regardless of seniority. If your vacation has been denied, please connect with your manager for an explanation, and if you feel your rights have been violated as per the collective agreement, connect with your steward to file a grievance.
